Raheel Sharif Appointed Head of Islamic Military Group

After completing his tenure former COAS Pakistan Army Raheel Sharif has been appointed as head of Islamic Military Group which is a joint military group of 39 Muslim countries.

Federal defense minister Khwaja Asif confirmed this but did not give complete details.

The group was mainly found by Saudi Arabia and included most of Muslim countries. Pakistan name was included but Pakistan initially did not confirm any inclusion but later on accepted it.

It is very critical how this group will operate citing the situation of Iraq & Syria. The point at where different groups are fighting with each other as well as Governments & ISIS this group action is yet to be seen.
