Today is Legendary Legspinner Abdul Qadir’s Birthday

Abdul Qadir Khan was a former legspinner of Pakistan born September 15th 1955 in Lahore Punjab. He repersent Pakistan from 1977 to 1993 and later on served various positions in the PCB. He played 67 tests and 104 one day internationals taking 236 wickets in tests and 132 in odis.

Qadir was on his peak in 1990s. His best performance came against England where he grabbed 37 wickets in a series. He took 9 for 56 against mighty England at that time. Qadir is considered as the best leg spinner who can bowl each delivery with different style and swing. He mastered the art of googly, flippers,leg break and reverse spin. He is often compared with shan warne as the best spin trio.

Abdul Qadir became the PCB chairman in 2008 for a short period.
