Karachi: Pakistan cricket board is considering to give former T20 skipper and boom boom Afridi last chance to play his last T20 series and then retire officially. This came after Afridi is still interested to play international T20s despite being not selected by chief selector Inzamam ul haq.
PCB wants Afridi to take part in upcoming west indies series which is scheduled to be start from Friday September 23, 2016. After this series Pakistan next scheduled T20 series is in April next year so PCB is urging to settle with Shahid Afridi to say good bye to cricket in a graceful manner. PCB sources also confirmed in organizing a grand farewell to Shahid Afridi during T20s in Dubai.
Chief selector Inzamam ul Haq and other selection committee are heading to build a young T20 team thus sideline Shahid Afridi whose dismal form in recent T20s make him hard to be consider for this format. Afridi 36 however can play domestic and foreign leagues.
